Notice: The GFDL Self-Help PASSWORD TOOL is offline as vendor work continues.

Steps for Linux Workstations, Mac, Linux Thinclients, and Windows

Linux Workstation and Mac users: In the meantime, you still have the work-around of changing your password by logging into a Linux workstation, and public5 or public6 VMs, by opening a terminal and running the following command; 'adpasswd' (minus the quotes). You will be prompted to enter your existing password, then enter a new password, then confirm the new password. After hitting ENTER, it should return no output or messages, indicating that it was successful.

Linux Thinclient users may use 'passwd'.

Windows users may use the 'Change Password' dialog box.
